What is Vending Rewards

Rewards programs are available for those people who fly frequently. Rewards are available for those people who shop at either Woolworths or Coles or where you buy your liquor. Then why not make a rewards program available to the many thousands of people who use Australia's vending machines every day. Sure we cant call it Everyday rewards as Woolworths secured that name, so we decided on "Vending Rewards" to avoid any confusion.

Vending Rewards is an initiative by Circumtec Pty Ltd to use "Tomorrows Technology Today". VR back end system is based on using a closed loop cashless system that allows customers to swipe their own VR card across the vending machine reader. The system displays the credit available and the customer makes the purchase.

Its really that simple.

Become an Associate

To become part of the Vending Rewards Program you simply have to become an VR Associate member.
An associate to the program must commit to having 10 VR machines on line within the first six months of signing. A VR Associate agrees to abide by the rules that govern the program. This includes running the mandatory promotions and honoring the monthly returns to VR members who spend more than the designated amount each month. In return a VR associate will receive either a three or four tenure on the locations as agreed with site management.

The VR equipment used must be less than five years old and an agreed service call time must be entered into depending on the location of the VR approved machines.
Fees for running the back end system are applicable and payable to Circumtec on a monthly basis. Circumtec provides 24/7 back up for the Vending Rewards site along with remote monitoring and credit card acceptance should you so wish.

Becoming a VR Associate delivers this benefit and more.
Vending machines have always been perceived as a large box that hold both snacks and drinks which are available for purchase by the general public.
The public perception is changing as they become accustomed to different payment options. Payment is now not only with coins but with $5 and $10 bills and of late credit cards.
Now we have the addition of cashless with a Vending Rewards card.
The Associate Benefit here is that we no longer have to sit for hours and count and bank coins. The counting of notes by a counting machine simply reduced this chore from hours to minutes.
One benefit of Cashless Cards is that most customers use a $10 notes to top up their credit on their cards.
By installing a card system on your machines the everyday reality of coin jams reduces dramatically. If very few coins are going through the machines for purchases then very few are being returned for change and the 50c piece no longer becomes a major problem.
An additional benefit here is the reduction in service calls for coin jams and therefore a natural cost saving.
Vending Reward Associates also benefit from having a 3/4 year written tenure with the location. Most locations understand that technology costs money and are prepared to sign a contract to secure the technology for their business.
This will come as a enormous relief to the operators who have large sites constantly being targeted by CC Amatil offering cashless systems, new machines with both snacks and drinks with a 35% commission just to seal the deal.
A Vending Rewards installation also benefits from having the ability to sell "combos". No not the machine type. But a drink and snack at the same time and offer a reduction in the purchase price. No different to what you see every day at your local supermarket, convenience store or petrol station.
National suppliers are right behind this type of selling as from their perspective it is all about volume and market share.

Well we are hoping for an increase in the number of vends you experience per day.
Followed by an increase in the actual "Vend Purchase" you are currently experiencing. We see this as a given as most operators who run "Combo" machines will have an average "Vend Purchase" of between $1.95 and $2.04 depending on their retail prices and their sites. By offering a "combo purchase" then the vend purchase would naturally climb from $1.95 to $3.50 depending on what the paired items are.
What does this do to the profitability of your machines?
Hopefully given the right sites and customer base "through the roof"
Next is the benefit to your customers.
Vending Rewards was initially designed to create a loyalty base amongst your existing customers and increase the number of daily vends by offering to return 10% of their monthly purchasers back to the customer. The customer in return needed to spend more than $20 per month to receive the rebate.
Any increase in the number of vends through your machines is good business. You experience higher profitability and the return on your investment also increases.
The increase in volumes of your products is also of particular interest to the manufactures . They are always looking for routes to market and Vending in the past has always been a hit and miss for them. The server software allows for picking of a winner and we aim to be running monthly specials with suppliers all year round.
